Ryan Supple is an attorney who focuses his practice on serving clients in the hemp, cannabinoid, medical-marijuana, and adult-use marijuana markets in the Upper Midwest. Ryan serves clients in the cannabis industry for all their legal needs including licensing, contracts and transactions, business law, regulatory compliance, litigation, and government relations.
Before joining Minnesota Cannabis Law, Ryan worked for three other law firms where he gained experience dealing with a variety of contracts and transactions, ranging from employment contracts and business formation to sales, land use, and lease agreements.
Ryan also has extensive experience representing clients in all stages of civil litigation, from commencing lawsuits and discovery to motion and appellate practice. Ryan has appeared frequently in Minnesota and Wisconsin courts, and has argued cases before the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Ryan has also represented clients in responding to charges and complaints filed with state and federal government agencies.
While Ryan is ready to fight for clients in litigation, he is also keenly aware of the burden and expense that protracted litigation can impose on clients. In this regard, Ryan also has experience negotiating settlements to avoid costly litigation and ensure client recoveries.
During law school, Ryan worked for another firm’s government relations practice lobbying for clients in the Minnesota legislature. In addition, before law school, Ryan worked as a legislative aide in the Wisconsin State Senate where he became intimately familiar with the legislative process and government operations.
Ryan is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Minnesota and state courts in Wisconsin.
